Notes from the field:
We had our giveaway today but, I forgot to take pictures. We helped about 17 people. Because the city has been clearing out the camps, this was our last giveaway at that location. Next month’s giveaway will be at the Van Nuys courthouse. Exact details will follow as soon as we double-check a few details.
As always, we are in need of donations. If you would like to donate, please either hit us up or go to our Amazon wishlist for the items we need the most. If you’d like to volunteer, just send us a message or show up at the giveaway.
About us:
We were founded on March 2, 2016. In total, we have about 15 volunteers, about 10 show up at each giveaway.
The amount of people we help: The amount of people we help varies. Since there are no public services around us, we have a core group of folks who come back every month for basic supplies. In total, we help about 20-30 people each month.

Please Donate Items: We do monthly giveaways. We try to make giveaways the last Sunday of the month. It feels good to give.
Needed items:
Toothbrushes, toothpaste, dental floss, q-tips, soaps, lotion, shampoos, razors, shaving cream, flashlights, hand sanitizer, foot and body powder, rain jackets, snack items, clothes, jackets, flip flops, chapstick, antibiotic, emergency solar blankets, umbrellas, condoms, toilet paper, feminine hygiene products, water, insect repellent, sunscreen lotion, laundry detergent, mouthwash, fresh fruit, granola bars, peanuts, peanut butter, water, sports drinks, cat food, dog food and many more. We also need hot chocolate and coffee.
